How can I find out who manufactured my china based only on the trademark on the back?
By Yahoo User • Category: Trademarks in ChinaIt’s a set that belonged to my grandmother, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s any more than five years old. The only identifying info on the plate is an emblem on the back - a large H with a smaller H above and in between the first one. The sides of the H are slanted so that it almost looks like two chairs pushed together. I have NO clue where to start identifying it - can someone please help?
I had the same problem. I had to get on-line and type in antique china patterns and just started going through each one. My china wasn’t really antique though, it was made in the late 60’s
Get a book about antique chinas from the library, or Barnes and Nobles. If you can’t find it, then go to an antique dealer and they can help. If all else fails then try to contact something like the Antiques Roadshow.
