I have a registered domain site that I am not sure is legal, the other domain has a registered trademark Aust.

e.g.their registered ‘trademark’ with ASIC in Australia is say ‘jomup.com’their domain is ‘jomup.com’ - and say they sell chickensmy domain is ‘jomupegg.com.au’ or ‘jomupmeat.com.au’ - and I sell eggs, or meat (i.e. sell something similar but not the same - same idea, different product)they are very, very successful.I think they may have tied up a lot of other domains in the ‘jomup.com’ area, even concerning the eggs so to speak as the ‘jomupeggs.com’ and other similar domains were not available, but mine with the au on the end was, and I think I may just have accidently fluked it when I registered myself.Am I legal, or will I be sued?

  1. You will be sued after you are succesfull with the site, that way they make more money. Change the domain before you do any serious work with it.

  2. It depends. They can get an order through ICANN regulations to have the name transferred to them, if they feel that you are cybersquatting. They really do not need to sue you.

  3. will probably be sued if you are successful and they find out
