You cannot Patent a photograph but you can copyright it ask a publisher how you go about this ~~
You cannot patent a work of art (which a photograph is). As the photographer you own the copyright. There are no special steps to take to ‘create’ that copyright. If, however, you sell a print or whatever of that picture, you should ensure that it bears the international copyright symbol © and your name. This will protect against unauthorised use.
As mentioned you want to copyright a photo. Since you shot the image it is already copyrighted by you the moment you shot the image. Here is a link to copyright laws of the United States, which a lot of other countries also use these laws.Use it as a guide so you understand about copyright but you might need to contact somebody in Australia for more information.I also gave you a link about model releases because you will need that to go along with the photo you have if there are people in it which I think you might.http://www.copyright.gov/ http://www.asmp.org/commerce/legal/releases/Hope this helps,Kevin
You cannot patent a photo. You protect your right by copyright, which is pretty much automatic in most countries.
