I have an idea of an invention that can be used in the Veterinary Field, how to patent?

By Yahoo User • Category: Patents How-To

I don’t have a lot of money to spend on patents so what I’m hoping is to find a companty that wants to help with putting in the money for the patent and then splitting the profits with me, since I had the idea. My invention is really simple, and only requires the use of one type of material. It will be used on dogs or cats and I do not know the risks, or dangerous will involve, but from what i can see I don’t see any hazards that it can cause to the animal. I would like to know more or hear from a Vet Company that deals with patents and inventions. Thanks.

  1. Beware of Invention Scam!!!http://www.inventnet.com/scam.html

  2. Just stay away from marketing firms or invention companies, they are complete ripoffs. You can spend about $250.00 to have a patent search done and about $200.00 to file a provisional application yourself. This will give you a one year time frame before you have to file your utility patent, mean while you can be looking for investors.Start here for lots of information. http://www.uspto.gov/
