  1. Seek help from your college, especially if this is a project that started in the college. Colleges love it when one of their students get a patent. The college might have an alum who is an atty.If that doesn’t work, get an investor who can pay for such an atty.

  2. That might be a good idea, but I would go into my browser and type in Patent Applications. I really think you would have to have a patent attorney because they will do a patent search at the bureau of patents and trademarks. They will save you a lot of time and trouble. You could also go to something like Government Offices/Patent and Trademarks. They will give you a lot of help. Your application does not have to be letter perfect and it can have a few drawing mistakes. They will help you straighten them out. I hope this helps.

  3. IPWatchdog.com has an interactive service that helps inventors file patent applications. The cost ranges from $600 to $1200, which is a lot less than you would pay a patent attorney. See: http://www.ipwatchdog.com/create_application.htmlLegalZoom.com also has a similar service. See: http://www.legalzoom.com/legalzip/patents/products_patents.htmlIf either of these services are still to expensive for you then you should, at a minimum, purchase the book Patent It Yourself, which costs about $35. Good luck.
