Are the Copyright Laws the same in each country?

Are the Copyright Laws the same in each country or can something be allowed in one country but not another.Example-in USA the public can obtain and publish “out of copyright material” would this be the same in Europe?

Basically the Copyright laws in most countries are similarwhat is different is the interpretation of themthe standard of originialty in America is different from the stand in EnglandLike wise the Copyright terms (Period which copyright still is still active) are different in a lot of Countries- Basically in answer to your question- If material in Europe is out fo copyright, then you can use it - but check carefully to ensure its out of copyright

  2. Copyright laws are not the same in all countries. Some countries do not have copyright laws at all. Some countries, however, by treaty recognize and enforce copyright laws of the United States.

  3. Similar but not the same. Mostly it has to do with the number of years after death when the copyright runs out. In the US it’s 70 years other countries are different. Right now Barres Peter Pan is no longer copyright protected in the US but still has a year to go in England before it runs out. It just depends on the country.
