Is it true that in Australia kangaroos started?
By Yahoo User • Category: Copyrights in Australiamarches of protest to demand the fair payment for using their images and photos on the Australian coat of arms, on some of the currency, and by many Australian organisations, including Qantas? Apparently, thought they posed and modelled for all of the above, they have never been paid! While people used their copyright images and made fortunes on them, kangaroos never received any royalties. And that the government is in trouble now, because if they submit to their demands and pay them what they owe since establishing of Australian coat of arms, the country’s economy will be ruined?
Well,,,they should be paid their royalties,,,shouldn’t they ?
Hahaha, well Aussie Land will be well and truly ‘rooted’ if the ‘roos win their case. How will we get to work for a start?!
yes they did. In the early years around colonisation all large Roo voted that they should demand royalties, especially when they are served up on the family dinner table here in Australia and elsewhere in the world as some exotic dish. Qantas head office has been contacted by the Roo movement asking for compensation for the 70 odd years they have been fallandered across the tail of jets. The Roo movement is also now developing their own National flag. I think the Roo movement should also ask for royalties from major car manufacturers too, since they end up in many a grill or hoods of cars on country roads. Since Rudd got in it would only be fair that he demands all income from skippy re-runs to go direct to the Roo movement. I mean its a disgrace.
people have got it all wrong .. It wasn’t the roos that instigated this action .. it was the koalas…..see it’s like this… Kangaroos have had movies made about them and television shows made about them .. and they have now entered the world of cullinary delights.. The Koalas felt snubbed and pushed out of the lime-light….the thing is .. what the Koalas were hoping to do is draw aware the public’s interest in Kangaroos .. and hope that it would turn the attention to the kangaroos.. IT isn’t about money at all but STATUS… the roos have it the koalas want it!!!
Oh come on! You can’t be serious!!Roos have got it good. They can go into any darn paddock and eat anything they like and no one can stop them. They can cross the road any time they like and ANYWHERE they like without using the proper crossings and WE, the motorist, have to watch out for them and try avoid hitting them. And if we hit them, we pay huge amount of panel beating which a large percentage of $$$$ are paid to the roos’ family. Early mornings, they can wander into the golf course and have a round of gold (there are plenty of photos to proof this) and don’t have to pay a cent in fees.We are paying them all this money all the time but this fact is not widely published.I mean - they can even go to see the race at Bathust for free! I am sure you remember the drunken roo that wandered onto the track in this year’s race! I bet none of the roos there paid the entrance fee.Cheers
What about the emus, wombats, echidnas and platypus?Who’s going to help them in their fight for justice? It’s all a big conspiracy because they’re not as cute as the kangaroos and koalas.
No kangaroos did not start this. They were contacted by ABBA (American Brown Bear Association) and drawn into a conflict that started in the USA. They are just following ABBA’s lead, but like many things in life, their issues are closer to being resolved than those of ABBA.Here in Australia, we are providing unlimited cucumber sandwiches to kangaroos for life, and we will say SORRY!We have also agreed to sign the Kyoto agreement, to limit greenhouse gas emissions. Some people think that we are signing that after a recent change in government, but it’s really because of pressure from the kangaroos.
