I don’t mean the source code that’s in the compiler, but the actual set of features that the programmer must learn to use the language. Is this still yet to be definitively decided in the US courts? I suspect it’s unresolved. What about other countries?
A copyright notice has 3 elements: the copyright symbol, the year, and the name of the copyright holder. Sometimes “Printed in the United States of America” appears. Is this required? Why, or why not? The gov’t site doesn’t explain.

Is it against the law in the US (CA specifically) to link to material that is violating copyright laws? Like posting on a message board a link to a website that hosts illegal mp3s or videos?
I’m asking because if I wanted to make and sell tee shirts/hats like they have in tourist stores with the name of a city or a state or national park embroidered on it, would I need to license it or pay royalties?
